Our Founding
We were born in La Guajira, Colombia.
Our journey began as 'Fundación El Origen', providing personalized, accessible learning to youth in Indigenous communities across La Guajira—our CEO’s homeland. From day one, we’ve collaborated with companies to bring education and job training to every corner of the region.
O-Lab Broke Barriers
Organizations, schools, and companies across the globe began adopting our platform—bringing accessible learning to places like Pakistan, the Philippines, Nigeria, South Africa, Mexico, Peru, and beyond.
Global Impact Recognition
We were selected by the United Nations as Young Leaders for the SDGs, recognized as one of the world’s most impactful initiatives to close opportunity gaps. We’ve also been honored by organizations such as the Obama Foundation, the U.S. Department of State, the United States Institute of Peace, Global Citizen, One Young World, the Dalai Lama, among many others.
AI-Powered Learning Transformation
Thanks to impact investments from tech companies like GitLab, O-Lab implemented Artificial Intelligence to instantly adapt to any learning experience. We launched our corporate spinoff to help companies create interactive experiences for their teams—and for young candidates seeking to be trained and evaluated based on their skills, not just their CVs. We keep closing gaps… and learning together.
